How to make a WiFi QR code
Type your network name exactly as it appears on your phone, including capitals and spaces. Type the password, choose the security type (almost every home and office router uses WPA), and the code appears as you type. Download it as SVG for print or PNG for screens.
Your password stays on your device
This page draws the code with JavaScript in your browser. The network name and password are never sent to our server, never stored and never logged. You can check: load the page, switch off your internet connection, and the generator still works.
Will it expire?
No. A WiFi code holds the network details inside the pattern, and phones join the network straight from it. No server is involved when someone scans it, so it works as long as your network name and password stay the same. If you change the password, make a new code.
Which phones can scan it
The camera apps on iPhone (iOS 11 and later) and on most Android phones read WiFi codes and offer to join the network. Print the code at least 3 cm wide and place it where guests can see it, such as by the front door, on a table card or in a guest room.
